Step 1 — Submit your application and documents
Download the Exchange Student Application, complete and sign it, and email it to prep.office@enlightiumacademy.com with your transcripts from the last two years (translated into English).
Step 2 — Complete your I-20 file
The Admissions Team will review your application and invite you to an initial Zoom interview. Prior to the interview, please read the Exchange Student Guide; provide via prep.office@enlightiumacademy.com a copy of the student’s passport and parents passports or other legal identification; submit at least five recent color photographs of the student; provide host family information (if you do not have a host family, the Enlightium Prep Office will assist in matching the student with a vetted local Christian host family); pay the $500 non-refundable annual application fee.
Step 3 — Receive your Form I-20
Once Enlightium Prep accepts the student, we issue your Form I-20 A-B/ID. You then pay the SEVIS I-901 fee at ice.gov/sevis/students before applying for your visa.
Step 4 — Apply for your F-1 visa
Take your Form I-20 to the nearest U.S. consulate for your visa interview. When approved, your F-1 visa is stamped in your passport.
Step 5 — Arrive and check in within 15 days
Enter the U.S. and receive Form I-94 from the Immigration Inspector. Within 15 days of arrival, bring your passport, F-1 visa, and Form I-94 to the Enlightium Prep Office for photocopying and your official student file.
